Dachtoberfest Race Registration

RACE RULES

Dogs must be a dachshund or dachshund mix, and at least one year old, to participate in the races.
All dogs must be preregistered in order to participate in the races.
Dogs that are in heat will not be permitted to participate.
Owners must show proof of their dog’s current rabies vaccination.
When not racing, all dogs must remain on a leash.
Each dog shall be accompanied by one handler who will be responsible for putting the dog in the starting gate and then move to the finish line.
Your dog’s name will be called twice before the race. If your dog is not at the gate at the time of the race, you forfeit the race and no refund will be given.
Dogs must remain in the starting gate until the race announcer has called GO.
No balls or other toys may be thrown on the track. This will result in disqualification.
No food, whether human food or dog food or treats are permitted on the track.
Dogs must completely cross the finish line. Any reaching across the finish line by the handler is considered unsportsmanlike behavior and will result in disqualification.
No refunds of race registration fees – no exceptions.
All Judge rulings are final!
Owner is responsible for all actions of their pet including clean up.
